Scott Glasser
Director of Web Communications

Scott Glasser is the Director of Web Communications for the John Templeton Foundation. His primary responsibility is the creation of the new Foundation website. Other responsibilities include the management of web hosting at the Foundation as well as fostering the innovative and effective use of internet technologies to produce engaging, informative, influential, interactive, and mission-focused online content delivery. Mr. Glasser applies his experience in Information Technology project management to facilitate the use of cutting-edge tools by the Foundation, its partners, and grantees. These technologies include webcasting, podcasting, and online collaboration systems.

Over more than ten years of private and public sector work, Mr. Glasser has produced award-winning products to help clients work, communicate, educate, and entertain using the web and interactive media. He has worked with diverse organizations ranging from NASA Headquarters to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and from the National Association of Securities Dealers to the National Science Foundation. Before the high-tech boom, Mr. Glasser enjoyed a career working with an antiquarian book dealer.

Mr. Glasser has been invited to speak on several occasions on the topic of developing information technology, particularly interactive content, for the physically and mentally challenged. While at NASA, he acted as one of two Section 508 Coordinators whose responsibilities included advocating for the rights of the disabled in the workplace. He has also presented talks and tutorials on webcasting technologies.

Mr. Glasser enjoys travel, the visual arts and family. The very proud father of one, he is married to Dr. Chris Gunter, Senior Editor for the scientific journal Nature.
